Artwork Pricing
Cost of the artwork design is averaging $120, but can vary depending on the amount of work needed to create your design, as well as if any stock photography is required. The amount of work needed is affected by whether or not you have any existing artwork (i.e. logo or photos), and the complexity of the design. Each design is created from scratch for each individual store allowing your card to be as unique as you like. Quotes will be given before the artwork is created, if requested. If you have your own graphic artist, we will send you the guidelines for creating the card. Please contact our in-house graphic designer, Carley, for more information and quotes. Card Transaction Charges
For every card purchased you will receive 2 free transactions to sell and redeem the gift card. For example if you buy 1000 cards, you will receive 2000 transactions for free. For all transactions over that amount there will be a $0.10 charge (per issue/redeem). If you have gone over the said amount, you will receive a detailed invoice semi-annually.
Other Costs
Shipping is included with the cost of your cards. If you order holders or stands regular CanPar rates from Kelowna to your location will be added to your invoice. GST, HST (Maritimes), and PST (BC) are also applied.
Delivery Time
Approximately three-four weeks after the final approval of artwork. |
Reusing Cards
Cards may be reused to cut down on your costs. The $0.10 processing fee will apply each time any card is issued or redeemed, regardless of the number of times it has been recycled.
How to Use
Each purchase of Gift Cards comes with a manual. You will also need current support and BookManager version 10.0 to handle the different capabilities of the Gift Cards.
Selling a gift card is similar to selling a book. Simply scan the Gift Card where you would normally scan an ISBN (in the Point-of Sale). If it is a new card you are provided with a field to type in the amount to put on the card. If it is an existing card being redeemed or refilled, you will be shown a balance on the card, how much you can redeem against this purchase, and fields to enter the amount for redemption or refilling. Once the sale has been completed, the receipt will print out the card’s balance, so your customers will know exactly how much they can redeem on their next purchase. A Gift Card can be scanned anywhere in BookManager giving you the card's balance as well. |

Gift Card Holders ($21.50 per package of 100)
Gift Card Carriers are 3 5/8" wide by 2 3/8 " tall when folded (5 1/2" by 6" tall unfolded. The gift card folds in an envelope-style holder and stay together by a half moon die cut. The inside includes To, From, Amount and Message fields for your customer to enter their personal information.
