What is PubStock?
PubStock is the highly popular data service from BookManager that removes the guesswork from your day. PubStock is a file containing the stock-availability for hundreds-of-thousands of books carried by vendors who sell to Canadian booksellers.
Bookseller says: "Do you know where I can find a copy of Had a Glass: The Top 100 Wines for 2010 (ISBN 9781552859995)?”
PubStock says: “Yes, Whitecap, Sandhill, Raincoast and Login Brothers all have stock!”
Bookseller says: “We’re selling this "Say You're One of Them" like hotcakes! Who still has stock?"
PubStock says: “Looks like North 49 has them on order, but Hachette has stock available!”

 Who can use PubStock?
Anyone. Every bookseller can check PubStock on our website (for a limited amount of free lookups). It can also be integrated to work within you BookManager Software. Developers of other book software systems can make use of PubStock data too.
How does PubStock work?
TBM BookManager Ltd. collects data from various book sources. The data is consolidated at our office and then distributed to the bookseller via the Internet. Users on our website can search for books by ISBN, Title, Author, Keyword, etc. A button to the PubStock info for each book is provided. For those stores using the BookManager Software, each time a title is looked up in BookManager, an automatic check is made against the PubStock file. Sources for the ISBN appear in a discreet, customisable window. The information includes on-hand quantity, on-order quantity, price, discount, and the date of the information.

All of the major Canadian distributors participate in PubStock. As of January 2013, over 120 vendors contribute to PubStock. There are also some out-of country participants such as Baker & Taylor and Ingram Book Company in the US. The list of participating suppliers is growing constantly, so watch for new additions all the time. Vendors also respond to your requests. If you want to see a supplier on PubStock that is not currently there, let them know and tell them to contact us!

How do I obtain a PubStock file?
To use PubStock within your BookManager software, one of our support staff will create a routine that will retrieve the file daily using your Scheduler. There are viewing options and preferences which can be set according on which vendors you use.
PubStock is also available to view on any inventory item online at BookManager.com. Simply pressing the PubStock button located at the bottom of each inventory listing will give you the most recent information we have available.
How much does PubStock cost?
On our website, with a login and password, you can do up to 25 queries in a day, or 250 in a month for free before you are blocked for the remaining calendar month. At this point, you are required to purchase a one-year subscription costing $210 for unlimited access. Booksellers using the BookManager software have the opportunity for a 30-day free trial or download, after which they must subscribe for continued use.
